On March 26, 2025, in Dodoma, the Minister for Agriculture, Hon. Hussein Bashe (MP), held a strategic meeting with a delegation from the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), led by Mr. Pascal Saginga. The discussions focused on key agricultural priorities, with a strong emphasis on strengthening the Build a Better Tomorrow (BBT) program, which empowers over 600 youth and women engaged in block farming in Chinangali and Ndogowe, Dodoma.

A key highlight of the meeting was the commitment to enhancing the participation of youth and women in agriculture by equipping them with financial literacy, entrepreneurship skills, and the necessary resources to succeed. This initiative aligns with broader national efforts to address unemployment and promote inclusive economic growth.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Hussein Mohamed Omar, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Crops Development and Food Security in the Ministry of Agriculture.
